Beneficiaries of Free medical outreach from Dr Modesty Foundation

A United States of America based Foundation under the auspices of Dr Modesty care foundation has provided free medical care to over one thousand persons in South East and South South Nigeria suffering from various diseases.
The Foundation also provides free Solar Panel for Street Lighting in different streets in various Autonomous communities in South Eastern Nigeria through its programmes tagged "Lighting Africa" to augment power infrastucture in rural communities in Nigeria .
Speaking with our Correspondent in Uyo over the weekend, the Chief Executive Officer of Dr Modesty Care Foundation Dr. Modesty Echefula Onwemadu said the Organization will capture the needs of people in the South East and South Nigeria in areas such as Education , Human capital Development and general empowerment .
Onwemadu; an American based Medical Doctor and indigene of Umuchulu Autonomous community in Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo state explained that the Foundation was borne out of passion to assist the people of South East/ South South in tackling health challenges and other needs of the people.
" As a prince being the son of a King , I saw what my father was doing to help the people . I followed his footsteps to redeem my people."
He listed diseases treated during the free medical outreach which took place at Community Central School Amala in Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo state to include Hapatitis, checking of vital signs , malaria / Typhoid treatment, management of Arthistis / Hypertension.
" I told my colleagues in the United States that medicine is not all about healing. I also told them that medicine does not end in the hospital . When people are hungry and you give them food to eat ; that food becomes the medicine "
He said the foundation will provide financial assistance , Human Capital Development, Education and general empowerment in the next 10 years
" I have awarded scholarship to students in my community , give financial assistance to those who want to do business and now I am providing health care for the people. I also procure solar power panels to lighten up the streets which I would extend to neigboring states such as AKwa Ibom , Abia , Cross River etc "
He therefore urged government and other donor Agencies to partner with the Foundation to touch lives if the people positively.
" Government is a big Enterprise . It has so much to give to the people without resources to execute her plan . I need more people to join me in this charity work across South East and South South Nigeria" he said
One of the beneficiaries of the medical outreach His Royal Highness Eze Simeon Nwaju Obiogu 1 of Amala Autonomous community who accompanied the Foundation to AKwa Ibom said the medical outreach was one of the best things that happened to him and the entire people of the area .
" I had stroke in the last 4 years and was battling to treat myself before the intervention from Dr Modesty Care Foundation. Now I am fine . God bless him "
One of the Volunteers who working in the Foundation Chiamaka Ezeh said the outreach brought drugs from foreign manufacturers with high potency to treat all the patients .
" Drugs administered to patients were high quality that facilitated quick recovery of patients "
However , the Coordinator of the Foundation in Akwa Ibom Comrade Udeme James has addured Akwa Ibom people that the medical outreach will be extended to AKwa Ibom people .
He urged the organization to consider Akwa Ibom in the next phase of the outreach so that the south south zone will partake in the gesture .
